So what? it stops us from going to administration then I couldn't give a shit what they get out of it tbh. I dont think thats any of our business.

You're absolutely right.
What right have we got to demand that our major shareholders spend excessive amounts on players.
I suspect that Mr Angry has been `supporting' City since we have challenging at the top end of the Championship. So go back to wearing your Manchester United shirt or sit with your mates in the Liverpool end next Sunday.
Most true and long suffering City fans would prefer to have a team to support than end up, as we nearly have, in administration like Portsmouth and Rangers.

His merthyr shirt actually but yes you are right he jumped on board around about last 4/5 years

its obvious theres a lot of frustration out there tonight, myself included, but lets look at the facts,

ipswich are on their good run, including smashing 5 past west ham...

we have only 1 victory there in 65 yrs..

im 100% sure we will give everything this week on and off the field and we will give liverpool a bloody good game..

i admit that i feel we do need a couple of fresh faces in and around our squad. but we are still there or thereabouts..

it seems people tonight are just looking for a blame game and are going about their frustrations in the wrong way. i would av liked to see earnie come on to get a goal etc.. but malky sees him everyday and we do not.. if he believes earnie could do something he would av brought him on..

lets rewind back to the summer.. a very disappointing finish to last season, we get a new manager, new staff and a complete new squad...

i dont believe we are punching above our weight, other wise we wouldnt be in a cup final.. i honestly dont believe on paper, that hull, blackpool , reading, boro etc.. have any better squads than us..

so keep the faith, and lets judge the city in may! :ayatollah:

Same old shit you post on every thread if you ask me...... same answer to any topic you talk about.

Angry Man - how about this one - Jay Bothroyd was in his fecking car on his way to fulham down the M4 for discussions last year when we almost sold him for a rather large figure! only to be called by Jones to turn the feck around, he's not going anywhere after he begged the malaysians to let him keep hold of Jay for his promotion promises!!! One of the reasons he played shit at the latter end of last season as well. Another thread I cant be bothered to prove to you so make of that what you will - I don't care.

Sorry I'm not attracted to all the negative posting and all the doom mongers preying on the days when city faulter! Always the same old crap after a city loss, fans looking for a scapegoat! you go on about realists and true fans, well i've been one of those since 1991 and accept cardiff for what they are - a half tidy club, with fickle fans, massive expectations to many, a club with little spending power. If peoples expectations were a little lower then they would understand that we dont have a god given right to achieve what so many think we will. I don't cry like a baby when we lose! (except for Blackpool final!  ) I take each day and game as it comes, I dont care who plays for the club, I dont care who the manager is, I dont care what food I eat at half time, and I dont care about people who think I brown nose anyone (such a childish saying I use to hear in the days back in school!) I will reply at any length i feel necessary to any post I am interested in or want to provide to. All I'm happy about is the fact that Cardiff City FC is still here, and I have somewhere to go and enjoy and socialise on a saturday/sunday afternoon etc - THAT is called being a realist or a loyal supporter.

Correct.
I've been supporting City since 1965 and recent seasons have been unbelievable. But I, and I suspect many on this messageboard and on CCMB, would be still supporting City if they were in Portsmouth's position. Doing well is a bonus but not a necessity to me following my beloved Bluebirds. Unfortunately success attracts supporters who demand such success every season. Sorry chaps but if that's what you want you're following the wrong team! :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

We are still heavily in debt from previous regimes and despite what some might think, we lost what was our most successful manager for years. Our "uncommitted" Malaysian friends, and don't forget they are not the sole owners, have stumped up fees or wages to rebuild a squad that currently sit in 4th place, we have turned down multi million pound bids for our star player and have made some of our own, while all the time reducing the debts. We have employed one of the brightest young managers in the country, have a modern, state of the art stadium fit to grace the premiership nd hopefully the european stage, a highly thought of academy and training facilities and in case you hadn't noticed, we represent Wales in the Carling Cup Final next Sunday and we also played in the FA Cup Final in 2008 and the play off final in 2010 - all of which most clubs outside the big guns fans could only dream about. We are also the current FL Family club of the year

We have achieved all of this as a championship club that has had to fight against adversity and sell our best players for years. I for one, could not have imagined the success we are having when I started watching us in 1972, especially given the shit times in the 80s and 90s.

Jesus, give the powers that be some credit for the way they have turned our great club around in a remakably short space of time and get behind the board, the players and the fans for the final push this season. Win or lose, and if we ultimately fail to gain promotion this season, I'll be there and you won't find me complaining about lack of investment because the reality is, we have invested millions into our club to get to where we are now. We've lost 7 or so league games all season - how many times can you say that about city over the years... Yes, its frustrating to lose a few games that perhaps we should have won, but just enjoy the ride becasue it could all end tomorrow - look at Rangers and Pompey and see where throwing money at things has got them.

Totally agree and like yourself although my first game was '69 i too started watching City regular from '72 onwards and like anyone else who has followed City from then they will appreciate these are the GOOD TIMES. Never did i ever think i would get to watch my team play in a FA Cup Final and God willing next Sunday the League Cup Final plus we are 4th in the Championship with a great chance of finishing in the Play Off's with one of the best young Managers around who is only going to get better and a squad of players who play for the badge :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I am enjoying it and feel sorry for those who can't and just want to moan

Accusing Tan of corruption on a football messageboard behind a

but have found out they are nothing. Insignificant. Nada.

Vincent Tan is the gaffer here now. There's a new sheriff in town.

Cross him and he'll have you out on your arse. :? :?

But at the very least lads eh... if your going to slag him/them off...

lets see some evidence of wrongdoing eh?

just a scrap, a shred... anything????

The best thing is people judge investment by transfer fees
Has to be the most simply minded people I've ever come across

If signing players for money we didn't have then Sam would be in charge and he wouldn't have had the club taken from him easier than a baby with candy an of course we could be bigger than barcelona :?

There are a couple of "ten post wonders" who "have been on the board for years - but have only now decided to post"
(thats why they know so much about previous threads, honest   )

Their last stand against the Malaysian owners was to say they arent backing the manager.

was put up in January was a right kick in the teeth for the snipers (who are far worse than
any sniper off other boards)

But like punch drunk pissheads in the street at last orders, they keep coming back for more.

The new one is "Vincent Tan is corrupt and is shaming our Club!"

Somebody somewhere has had their nose totally put out of joint by TG and Vincent Tan
and are desperately trying to discredit everything they do here. Its like an obsession.

Its time EVERYONE saw through it now

The f*cking clown stating that Cardiff City are part of some huge scam to get the Prime Minister
re-elected is the saddest special needs case yet.

What next?

Kevin McNaughton in a Malaysian adaptation of '24' where he only has a day to save the poor
people of Malaysia from famine and extinction as TG and Tan dine on oysters, caviar and Clarkes
Pies?

f*cking idiots.

It would really be '18' as 6 hours were used by Super Kev picking up head knocks, impact bumps and hamstring tightness requiring treatment.

But yeah, the agenda is pretty clear and tiresome. The continual bashing of the Malaysians tends to make you wonder if the real problem for some is the fact they are Malaysian and not white Anglo-Saxons, tbh.

Definitley MG for me he loves bringing politics into things.

I do find it most laughable that a debt ridden football club no one in malaysia probably heard of before VT and TG cone along could be such a powerful pawn in presedential elections.

Opps sorry it seems that because we have made it to the league cup final then the owners can use that to paper over the cracks of lack of investment into the league campaign.

Paper over the cracks? I dont think they have said anything since the AGM at the start of the season when they said that we would go for promotion.....checks league table.....well done :ayatollah:

I guess we would never know but I wonder if more investment in January would have happened had we not have made it to the cup final

Were you bummed in a Malaysian prison or something?

We had enough players to get to a steady third in the division.

Do we need a few more for depth? Sure.

But still, let's ignore the realities of transfers and loans because we've got so many experts who learnt from Football Manager.

If CM4 onwards, then very foolish as you've chosen the wrong game. CM3 and earlier is now Football Manager, in terms of the development team. Current "Championship Manager" shares the name of the old lineage but is a piss poor clone.
