MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

• Cardiff have a 25% winning record against Ipswich. The Bluebirds have prevailed in 10 of 40 competitive meetings, Ipswich in 19, with 11 drawn.

• The Tractor Boys have won five and drawn one of their last six against Cardiff.

• The Welsh club last took maximum points away from Portman Road in December 2008. It was only their third victory in Suffolk, and first for 62 years.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ipswich Town

• The Suffolk club have taken maximum points off West Ham, Coventry and Portsmouth in their last three outings and are on course for their best winning sequence under Paul Jewell. Joe Royle was at the helm when they last registered four successive league wins in November 2004.

• Town still have the weakest defence in the Championship with 57 goals shipped, an unrivalled 16 of which have been conceded in the last 15 minutes.

• Michael Chopra, who's scored four goals in as many games, is set to play against his former club, while fellow striker Jason Scotland could be making his 300th career league appearance on his 33rd birthday.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cardiff City
• The Bluebirds, three points outside the top two, are looking for their first back-to-back league wins of 2012, on the eve of manager Malky Mackay's 40th birthday.

• They have lost fewer away matches in the Championship than any other club, having only returned from Hull, Leicester and Peterborough without a point.

• Cardiff need to score twice to take their all-time total of away league goals to 2,000.
