In your opinion, who is the best football player ever?

Mine has to be Ronaldo (the fat one ) Made everything look so easy and scored 15 world cup goals. Pure class!

Lots of people mentioning Messi here, I'm sticking with Maradona!

Here's my justification, Messi is class no doubt BUT he is surrounded my absolutely brilliant players at club level, he hasn't set the international scene on fire with Argentina, in fact he's been nothing special SO FAR when representing Argentina.

Look at Maradona, totally class for club and country, he signed for Napoli and propelled the club into the most successful period in their history, he wasn't surrounded with anything like what Messi had around him.

International football i've always felt is a false wa to rate players. If Messi was born in San Morino is he less of a player all of a sudden?

Glad someone agrees mate best I've ever seen, I wasn't around to wittness pele or maradona so I can't comment on them to and I still think messi got a bit to prove before he can call himself number one of all time
