splott, as you seem to be very interested in politics and the goings on in the world in general whats your guess/opinion on the following question: if every european country would have stayed with there own currency and the euro would,nt have been thought of,would the reccession have been as bad as it has been?. Or indeed would there have been a reccession in europe at all.

I think you will find Splott David's consuming passion is Middle Eastern politics particular of the Islamic variety,his knowledge of anything European is very limited
