" TOTAL SELL OUT FOR BLACKPOOL ? "

Thu Feb 02, 2012 8:07 am

Well it should be if you listen to all the die hard fans who aren't season ticket holders yet go to every game.

We have at least 31,000 tickets for Wembley and we could sell 60,000, so why isn't Saturday against Blackpool sold out.

Very frustrating, Blackpool is another cup final as far as I'm concerned and whilst not as glamorous as a Carling Cup final, in the broad spectrum it is far more important in the grand scheme of things that we win every league game and sell out the stadium every game. :old:

Gwyn if City announced a guaranteed Wembley ticket for all non season ticket holders who attend the Blackpool game then we all know it would defo be a sell out ..... instead they have gone for the extra cash of getting in ST renewal money instead and new ST holders for next season . Must be a sales n marketing policy or something ? On another point I would defo reward any non ST holders who have been to each home Carling Cup game a chance to buy a Final ticket :ayatollah:

Or is the season ticket money what they offered Watford for Marvin Sordell?

The club should have stated that to guarantee a Wembley ticket ahead of ANYONE on the 10,000 list, new ST's had to also buy a Blackpool ticket.

Nothing new with some fans... I can't make weeekends, yet the carling cup final is on a sunday. 3pts is far more important than the final. I'll be there with my little pick and shovel I'll be there

Gwyn, as far as I am concerned every game we now have left is a mini cup final. I can understand someone not wanting to buy a season ticket if they are a shift worker for example but even then (as in my case) it is still cheaper to buy one and miss a few games opposed to paying on the gate plus you have the safety net of not missing out on any tickets for cup finals etc.I know that not everyone can afford to shell out for the price of a season ticket in one go but the finance options do give fans the option to spread the cost so there is little excuse left for not buying one.

I'm going to the Blackpool game as I've booked Saturday off (I work on the buses so work 5 Saturday's out of 6) but I probably will not get a ticket for Wembley as not a season ticket holder. I go when I can but if I miss out on a Wembley ticket so be it that's life :D , but I'll still be attending as many home games as my work allows between now and the end of the season.
Being a non season ticket holder doesn't mean anyone in that situation is any less committed than a season ticket holder it's just not justifiable in my job. :ayatollah:

Totally agree, I renewed my ST yesterday in order to get a ticket for a mate for the final. He was at the Palace game and many others but I still don't think it is right to offer 2. It should have been the 21000 at the Palace game, then away members before any further distribution

Perhaps ambassadors could get an extra ticket each for their friends who will be going to Wembley on the extra ticket???? :old:

There's never enough tickets for a game at Wembers, though. Wales isn't the only country that has more fairweathers than regular supporters.

The key is, for us to make sure that all the proper supporters have tickets and enjoy the day. I'm helping out some people who don't have season tickets but have supported the City for a long time (some longer than me), so I'm happy I'm doing my bit.

I agree with Gwyn, it is irritating that we probably won't fill the ground against the likes of Blackpool, yet we'll have at least 31,000 at Wembley against Liverpool, but Gwyn and lots of us can take pride in the fact that we've watched the City through thick and thin and it will mean more to us when we're there.

I remember celebrating after we'd beaten Barnsley and some people looked at me daft. I'd never seen them before - not that I know every face - and guessed that they haven't been to places like Chesterfield, York etc, so it just doesn't mean the same to them.

I'm really excited about Saturday and the prospect of beating Blackpool so that we stay in contention. Wembley's a long way off and we've got far more important games before then and I'll be focusing on them - let's hope the players are, too.

Maybe Blackpool would sell out if people could get through to the ticket office  doubt it tho.

I want to go down and get tickets for the Gary Speed game but don't want to queue with the season ticket holders.

I BREATH CCFC; If Cardiff City draw a game the Misses know's it's Her fault, If Cardiff City lose it's hers and Her Mother's fault. Ok I'm Cardiff City till die, But I have to be honest I had no time for the Carling Cup at all, though glad City made the final, I didn't go to one cup tie and I and don't deserve a Wembley trip, Never the less I am looking forward to a few goodies in front of the plasma Vol on 10. Now everyone should know over the last 4-5years or so We'v had Wembley's and and the same old sh't starts from the powers that be at CCFC (Buy a ST) OR Renew for next season and that guarantee's you a Final Tickie??? Well I think it's utter bo''''''''x and as we still have not recovered from the first early ST incentive, as we never saw the benefits for the Club ever materialise, Thousands of pre season ST sales to no avail. Now THERE'S ANOTHER FINAL and Fans of type's will flock to get ST's in order to get to Wembley, Now My point, For years now Cardiff Fans have been falling for the spin the Ambassador status,  I'v always said it only guarantee's that you get to spend more money than Fans that ain't an Ambassador, Like it seem's even the Ambassador's are expected to splash out if They want more than one ticket? Personally I believe the Club should allow all Ambassador's what ever rank have first choice on how ever many tickets they require, It matters not to the club They still receive the value of, That would be a genuine gesture from the Club to those that Buy Their ST a season up front instead of trying to bate Fans into parting with money a season early and with no obvious benefits from the proceeds. Now for the funny scenario, As some of you will know Iv had My fair share of comps for most Wembley final's over the years and for all the LEAGUE CUP FINALS (Carling' Littlewoods' Milk Cup etc...) I'v been to I'v only seen one full house and you are virtually Tout free, Dont be surprised to see tickets selling below face value, Also it is the norm at most Clubs to allow each STH two tickets without any Ambassadorisms , Hence the reason why Clubs ticket allocation has been cut in recent years so the League can at least benefit from some sort of distribution (Business' Associations bla bla bla)rather than empty seats and allocation returns which was pretty much the norm even with the big guns at times, So I hope the Club look after the Ambo's instead of the typical arterial motive's.!! :old:

agree gwyn it is very frustrating some people demand instant success from the club but we have been on the up for a long time now.If we get to the prem watch all the glory supporters start being city fans.
I still dont get welsh people who live in the cardiff and surrounding areas who support say liverpool.

Lots of people are a joke gwyn and blackpool is another cup final as is every league game left this season.

I totally agree with a lot of you here, I haven't been to a city game in a few years now as I live in Ireland I personally dont think I deserve one as I think the fans who have supported them through thick and thin deserve them. I love the city and used to be a season ticket holder for years looks like I will be enjoying a day out in Galway with My CCFC fan club on the increase the whole time!! Bluebirds we've a team to be proud off should be a sell out!! :ayatollah:
