expand a bit further why it dosent make sense to you.
perhaps they want to stay around the 49% mark of ownership at the moment because the way the money is being pumped in they must be close to being over 50% and therefore have decided to let another investor come in to the club
its no more remarkable than letting someone share your internet account to stir things up
This is a man who helped bring the Glaizers in to make Man Utd a debt ridden club yet people want to welcome him with open arms!!!!

they are billionaires for a reason "a fool and his money are easily parted"
im happy they are getting more people involved because they have a good idea for the club.and look at the people they are bringing in. some of the biggest names in the finance world, and i must add we are in debt so inist that the best person to bring in? never mind the fact he is a football man he is the perfect person for the job!
i cannot see how people can see this as negative?
Take a look at Man Utd and then you can see how people view it as a negative!!!!

it depends which way you look at the man utd situation. currently the debt is now at 450 million but they turned down a bid of 1.2 billion from the saudi's for the club less than a year ago.
unlike our club the asset far outweighs the debt
The Red Knights looked at their books and just to service the debt along freightened them off.

Some businessmen work that way if you spread the cost you also spread the risk.

I don't understand why this should be seen as a problem because if my memory serves me well there was a shareholders meeting in the summer which authorised the issue of a big chunk of shares. I not sure but a figure of £20m comes to mind but I may be wrong there, however I'm sure the board has the authority to sell those shares.
If this guy were to invest a half of that or better still find people who would but those shares that would pretty much settle some of the big debts. Carl said the other night that the club expects to settle PMG and Lanfstone this summer and surely the sale of shares, or equity, in the club is the best way of doing that.
Makes perfect sense to me.

Absolutely Tony.
You also get the benefit of their specialist knowledge.
In this case the guy knows football finance so it makes sense.
If he's putting his cash in then brilliant -if he's taking out.... not so good
