Aron Gunnarsson Bid?

Stoke City are understood to have made an offer for Icelandic international player Aron Gunnarsson, despite the defensive midfielder only completing a move to Cardiff City last summer.

Tony Pulis is thought to be suitably impressed with the development of the midfielder since his move from Coventry City to Cardiff City last June, and is ready to test the resolve of the Bluebirds with a 2.75m GBP offer this week.

The 22 year old, who has over 25 caps to his name already, has helped Cardiff City to a Carling Cup semi final already this year, whilst the Bluebirds are pushing promotion to the Premier League with a 3rd placed position in the Championship.

Gunnarsson has three years left on his contract with the Welsh side, and his club are understood to be unwilling to entertain any offers until the end of the current season
