Echo's Cardiff City FC Legends

Sure someone can fill us in!

My wife's Grandad has passed on to us the 'South Wales Echo Cardiff City FC Legends Collection supported by Carling'. A blue covered little folder (5x5 inches) containing 36 cigarette style cards, latest is Earnie pre move. Guessing came out late 90s/early 00s. In mint condition.

It's likely it came out before I moved to Cardiff, just wondering if anyone else still has their's & what you had to do to obtain 1? Token collection, outright payment...
