If you can get 2 players if similair standard so 1.5 each why dont whoever wants to buy whitts just sign one and save themselves 1.5m :?

Whitts is to difficult to replace.

We built the team around Whitts so to break that mould would be a backward step and show that we dont have ambition. Also what Polo has said just hits the nail on the head!!

We will not get a decent replacement for Whitts with £3m.

Simply because he's worth more like £5m

If West Ham DID get him on the cheap from us, there is no
guarantee that we will be able to do likewise.

Everyone has their price, but Peter Whittingham should not be sold.

There is no one of a smilar or even anywhere near standard as whitts ouside the prem selling him and then us falling away from the promotion pack would be a complete PR disaster and the resulting drop in season ticket sales next season would cost us most of any profit we might make now
