7m would be a massive offer for a player who hasn't proven anything in the Prem. I'd assume that bid would only come from the Premiership, btw.

Every club outside the top 6 in the Prem sells if the price is right. As long as some is re-invested in the squad, the rest going to service debts / secure clubs long term future, I'd say yes.

Totally agree. Whits is on a contract so lets see where we are in the summer, and more importantly does he want to go? If he doesn't great letws keep building around him.

It depends, if the money simply goes towards paying off debts and disappears then a big NO!!! I imagine Villa would get a sizable chunk aswell. If Mackay was given a bulk of the cash then I would defo take it - Mackay has built a promotion challenging team with little over £1,500,000 - imagine what he could do with £5,000,000 - £7,000,000!!!
