Vaz Te Rejects New Barnsley Deal - Should Malky Make A Move?

Ricardo Vaz Te has reportedly turned down a new deal at Barnsley.

He's a winger in form at the moment (10 goals in 20 games, plus a hat-trick against Leeds yesterday) and considering his current deal with the Tykes ends in the summer, there's a chance of getting him cheap.

Malky's looking for competition for Conway/Cowie on either side of midfield, and I'd welcome the deal if City could get him in at a decent price.

Anyone else think this would be a good move?

I get the impression he's holding out for a move to the premiership so we'd have to offer him high wages and promise him promotion to keep him happy if he was to come here...

Having a good season at Barnsley, struggled at Hibs prior to that.

His first experience of the Premier League (with Bolton) didn't turn out too well, but I'm sure he's aiming for promotion wherever he is.

City are also set to offload Parkin, and maybe even Earnie, which should free up some wages. If that's the case then I hope Malky would have a look at Vaz Te or McGugan.
