Kav had been our best midfield player for many years, but now Whitts imo has become an even better player.
Kav would make some crunching tackles and possessed a fantastic shot, whilst Whitts has a tremendous range of passing and his shot is as good as or even better than Kavs.
This season has seen Whitts finally mature into one of the best midfield players in the championship and controlling more games than ever before resulting in more consistent performances.

Kav made 164 appearances and scored 34 goals (1 goal per 5 appearances)
Whitts so far has made 236 appearances and scored 61 goals (1 goal per 4 appearances)
20 of Kavs goals were scored in Div 1 whilst all of Whitts goals have been scored in the Championship

Crazy to think how long witts has been here in comparison.

Kavanagh was a brilliant attacking midfielder until Lennie turned him into a poor defensive midfielder.

Witts for me but Kav was a great guy and player for us.
