" MILLWALL V CARDIFF FACTS "

Fri Dec 09, 2011 3:47 pm

Head-to-head

• Millwall and Cardiff have each won 17 of the 52 league meetings, 18 of which were drawn.

• Six goals were shared in last season's corresponding fixture, and five of the last seven league meetings have finished level.

• Last season's 2-1 victory at the Cardiff City Stadium was the Bluebirds' only maximum in 10 league clashes. It is 29 years since they last beat Millwall in London.

Millwall

• Millwall are three places and two points above the danger line, after claiming just one win in five games.

• Kenny Jackett is still awaiting his 100th win as the Lions boss (all comps).

• Last Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Leeds was the ninth time the London club had failed to score in a Championship game this season; only Watford have missed the target that often.

Cardiff City

• Third placed Cardiff are now three points off a top two automatic promotion spot and the "form" club in the Championship.

• The Bluebirds are on the longest current unbeaten run in the division of eight games, having claimed 20 points out of 24.

• Pete Whittingham could make his 200th league appearance for Cardiff.

Team News

Millwall will be without Therry Racon and goalkeeper David Forde who have ankle and thigh problems respectively.

Steve Mildenhall will continue in goal with Kenny Jackett likely to stick with the side that lost to Leeds.

Cardiff area waiting on the fitness of midfielders Aron Gunnarsson (dead leg), Filip Kiss (ankle) and Stephen McPhail (knee) for the trip.

Anthony Gerrard is out with a hamstring strain and captain Mark Hudson looks set to return.

Tricky away fixture tomorrow, Millwall have had some decent results against the likes of West Ham, Brighton, Boro and Leicester. I think we'll have too much for them though, another hoodoo to bite the dust.

Millwall 0-2 City (Miller 2)

Not a window left intact on the bus, still an evening sampling London Pride in Fulham A relief coach arrived driven by a Sikh at 10:30 got home 2am in work for 7am on the Monday.

You can't beat a good away day, as you say they were the days. Wish I had the money today to do it.
