Cardiff City FC
From when I was young just a little lad
I went to the footy without my dad
I never went lonely I had a friend
and we stood on the bob bank end
We went in the 70’s the 80’s too
There was lots of fighting and hooligans too
But it didn’t deter us in fact we were hooked
And in 1984 I was the first fan booked
Of course I am talking of my football team
The one Welsh club in the football league
The great Cardiff City the bluebirds are here
Quick pass me a pukka pie and give me a beer
For many a year we struggled and lost
But on some great occasions we could hold aloft
The season of 1927 runs through our veins
The bluebirds were high as FA cup champions
But now in the year 2011
the bluebirds are riding in football heaven
With a new manager and a united team
Cardiff are on a good winning streak
Already half way n third in the league
They’ve even beaten a premiership team
Now faced with a semi final for the league cup
And a chance at Wembley to lift it up
With season ticket in hand
A pinch its no dream
Im going to Cardiff City
To watch Malky and team
I have my pick n shovel,
Ill be there is the shout
from the tunnel I watch the players run out
within a few minutes the whistle blows and the start of the game and the chanting flows
the players work hard passing the ball
the defence they stand firm make themselves tall
the strikers are passed to and strike with their best
and the ball flies into the back of the net
the time is up and another win as arrived
22000 fans are filled with delight
You’ll never see so much passion
The floodlights tell the score board is flashing
So if you are ever in south wales
You must come and see The one team in Wales
Cardiff City FC
The bluebirds are high
Ill be a true bluebird until I die.
