Gary Speed - anyone still in shock?

I just still can't believe it. It just can't take it in. It is truly horrendous.

The worse thing is that there are no signs or events that have triggered this it seems. Can someone be truly happy one moment and have a total mental breakdown for no reason and take there our lives within hours?

We don't know truly how the human brain works and its full potential.

is there a rare hidden part of the human mind can cause this sudden depression? Something so rare and we have yet not noticed it's impact. Is there a possibility that I can be okay and normal one moment and then somehow a switch clicks in my brain as it were and I walk off and kill myself?

That is one dark precipise I don't want to look into.

Very upset. Gutted

Still hasn't sunk in, I kept telling myself it isn't true but when I seen the Ninian Gates on tuesday night it all seemed real.

Agree. It still seems surreal. On the surface at least the thought of someone as 'normal' as Gary killing himself makes absolutely no sense at all. I think that there is something lurking in the back of all of our minds- if he was capable of doing it,maybe we are all capable of doing something similar...

It's been a very very strange week. I generally tend not to dwell on 'celebrity' passings but this has affected me profoundly.

As well as feeling immense and heartfelt sympathy for his family, i think we all just keep running the same question over in our minds,'why?'

RIP Gary, IF only you really understood just how well respected and thought of you were,maybe you wouldn't have taken such a terrible decision.
