The doctors with bruises on her face! 
Doc ask "What happened?" 
She sez "Every time my husband comes home drunk,he hit's me." 
Doc sez,"When he comes home drunk,take a glass of water and swish it around your mouth,but don't swallow it untill he's asleep." 
2 weeks later she goes back to the doctors. She sez "It's brilliant,he never hit's me now,but how doe's the water work?" Doctor replies "The water doe's fook all. it's keeping your mouth shut that doe's the trick!"
