At Preston a couple of seasons ago I witnessed an old age pensioner have a go at some lads for bullying kids. Good job the lads took heed because quite a few of us made it known to them we agreed with the old chap.

Sounds like you witnessed by incident at the back of the Canton?
I was reading my programme with my friends and i was closest to the man who walked up to me and he said 'Get out of my seat and find your allocated seat'. Showed him my ticket and showed him my seat number and told him to keep walking! (i was in the right)
Also i was in Green hoody if it was me!

Some people probably bought tickets on the night, but weren't happy, so they wanted to go to the back for the atmosphere.
Thats why I rang the ticket office

Good, that will teach the little bastards to behave themselves.
How would have they fared under the tunnell of the old Grange-End in the 70s?

There are definitely two sides to this story.
We saw dozens of little shits who didn't have tickets for the Canton Stand sneaking through the aisles to get to stand with their mates and ended up being told to f**k off by lads who did actually have tickets for their own seats only to find these gob shites standing in them and refusing to move. However, I did also see some people turn up to their own seats only to find them taken by other paying customers. I didn't see anyone kick off though. They just look disappointed and went off to find their designated seat.

This is what i miss about the old grange end.
You found your space and just stood there.
When you score, you go mental and hop all over the terrace.

This is why I didnt go, I tried to buy ticket for my st before the deadline and the online eticketing told me my seat was unavailable. They only offered me row E, balls to that!

I went to my seat and there was about four kids in them, showed them my ticket and asked them politely to move which they did no dramas.

If you have a ticket for a designated seat then it is only right if you ask a person to move, that he does. You can't just turn up early and jump in some ones seat and think you can stay there.

No-one mentioned the end of the world. Just common decency, maybe you don't have any, maybe you weren't raised correctly, maybe you just have a chip on your shoulder, or maybe all of the above!

must be the massive chip on my shoulder fella
my parents are very decent people and gave me a decent upbring teaching me repect, i take offence to your remark because you don't know me to pass a comment like that.
the way i look at it they are just teenage boys doing what teenage boys do playing up and seeing how far they can push things but not doing any real harm. so they are sitting in your seat, you ask them to move, they move, you sit down what is the problem. your a grown man how is that going to give you nightmares

Me and my mate bought a couple of tickets in advance and turned up on the night only to find four 12 year olds stood by the seats that had been allocated us on our tickets. As it was there was space in the row across from the aisle so we went over to there but some season ticket holder turned up (10 minutes late, bellend) so I went and stood in the aisle - loved it actually, it was like the old days of terracing and we bounced around like it was the grange end when the first went in.
Of course before half time (not at half time - why can't people stand in the same place for 45 minutes ffs) these lads scarpered so we went and took our rightful seats. They didn't come back but at half time the stewards came up and were checking tickets. Most of the people who were moved away from the area were 14/15 year olds with tickets for block 109. (This all happened in 105 btw).
Atmosphere was even better in the second half because nobody was pissed off at their seat being taken or someone else being stood in their seat etc.
I agree with the sentiment of this what was good about the Grange End though - pick your spot, stand in it, if we score lose your mates for 10 minutes in the carnage that follows the celebration!!! I miss it like crazy
