not a pop at you but im just wondering why kids etc in the family stand and fans in a few rows in the ninian get threatened with eviction by stewards who are positioned a few feet from away fans who are standing?
ive witnessed stewards chatting to away fans who are standing whilst telling home fans to sit down..
can you tell me what orders are you told to carry out during games?
thanks

ok well all stadium operations are run by the control room via radio to our quadrant managers team leaders and supervisors
im neither of these so im not privy to the conversations between these parties
if you think of our away section as a mini version of our stadium, in the away end there is a designated family section, the lower rows are for fans who prefer to sit and the back rows are like the canton stand a standing singing section
very rarely does the whole away section stand im not saying its never happened (swansea are always difficult to control and we had problems with QPR last season)
the standing fans in the away section are very tightly controlled (it may not look like it but they are) they are not allowed to move much (this is not to say control doesnt break down it has on occasions)
now with regards to home fans the only place you are allowed to stand is in the Canton Stand
so persistent standing is not tolerated in any other part of the ground
so this is where you see stewards asking fans to be seated
Away fans are easier to control as they organise themselves im sure youve been to away games with Cardiff we are no different
singers and standers tend to go for the rear of stands where as families and people who choose to sit automatically aim for the front of the stand
