Whatever your views are on Robbie Fowler it cannot be denied that he was a marquee signing for Cardiff City, a player who brought the fans out in their thousands when the club held an open day to watch the team train and the chance to meet Robbie Fowler.

Now you have a chance to win a match worn Robbie Fowler signed City shirt which is in excellent condition and the proceeds from the auction goes to the Greyhound Welfare Charity http://greyhoundwelfare.org.uk/about-us/

Happy Bidding http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Robbie-Fowler ... t_287wt_54

i was out of the country when you did the Q&A with the riddler carl or i would have got you to ask him why he signed robbie when he clearly failed his medical.
we even only made a pound a shirt off him because joma were running the shop at the time.
imagine what malky would do with the wages paid out for robbie, jfh and sinclair

carlccfc wrote

Very interesting that Steve.

With regards to Malky and wages, were you aware that the wage bill this season is the same as last year's squad?

Steve Davies wrote

I believe it to be slightly less carl but we are left with the last remnants of dead weight from jones reign plus additional wages have been paid out for the additional back room staff for malky.
although based on how proffessional the club and squad look this season at least we are getting value for money

carlccfc wrote

Not disagreeing mate, just worth pointing it out as many City fans believe the wage bill to be considerably less than last year but it was good to hear Alan Whiteley admitting it publicly although he did say a little later that it maybe a little less as you say.

Good point Steve, and I feel that the signing of Chopra the second time around for 4 million would be an equally worthy question at a time when we were struggling to pay anybody at all

Who sanctioned that purchase (aprt from the Riddler)?
