Well I wasn't at the game, and Have now read some of the comments from that clip. So I do appologise for my comments. however, the video is there for all to see and Im sure people will just put there blinkers on as usual once seeing it. (the mistake I made)

I was right over the other end with my daughter, but I heard a Reading fan was behind the screen egging Cardiff fans on.

So wrong. Get the facts, not the biased Reading video.

They're chanting "who are ya?!!" Brilliant.

We're the team who beat them 2-1 at the Mad Stad and had nearly 4,000 fans who outsang their 16,000 fans from start to finish. That's who we are.

The people who crossed the "no man's land" were doing the job that the Reading stewards chose not to do - and then finally decided to do it - which was to remove the Reading prat who isn't shown on that Reading fan's video.

easy mistake mate but as you say, look how easy it is to cause a stir with a simple video and description

but isnt this the 'friendly banter' you say is acceptable at football
and the reasons why the club should allow a standing section in the Ninian Stand and swap the ends over
so by this boards assumptions this was a massive over reaction by Cardiff fans
maybe they should learn to take it on the chin and accept it as part of the banter at football
something thats been campaigned about for a long time on this board

Check the timing. I was already sending it before your reply.

That video was filmed from the wrong angle to show the Reading fan who instigated it. I saw him. I was there.

No doubt, chap. I think you've got me wrong, though, judging by the way you replied to me.

When I said I felt sorry for you, I meant that you seem to get flak almost every time you post and you posted recently in a way that suggested it was getting to you. Clearly, it wasn't, though.

:ayatollah:

ok i apologise i thought you were having a go I mis-read you
I dont mind getting flak but sometimes it gets to me
because normally im genuinely trying to help people
but because i represent something some fans dont like i get it with both barrels but thats fine because in some fans eyes they do actually respect me
and having people saying thank you to me from time to time means a lot. A lot more than what some fans mock me for.
i wont go into details over things and this isnt a sob story either but ive seen things at football that arent very nice and not only do i see them ive got to deal with it and control situations at the same time
What some fans think is just a bit of fun or is justified has some very real consequences which me and my colleagues have to deal with.

Thanks.

I agree with what you're saying there. Overall, the impression I get from other posters on here (and it's certainly my view, too), is that there are stewards who have got carried away with the small amount of power they have on a Saturday afternoon and it gets up people's noses.

Obviously, some of our fans get carried away and spoil it for others, though.

completely agree some stewards do have that attitude and when i see it they get both barrels from me
you as fans pay a lot of money to watch your football whether you have a season ticket or you buy a ticket on the day
plus the cost of cup games and pre-season friendlies
not to mention the cost of away games
and you have a right to watch your game in relative safety
thats where my job comes in
my job is to keep you safe
im a fan myself i know the emotions you go through during a game
the elation when we score and win
the despair when we concede and lose
im just there to keep you safe when your jumping up and down
and if i have to throw you out its not because i dont like you or its fun
its because your a danger to yourself and the supporters around you

How the hell are you going to keep me safe when i am jumping up and down ? Are you gonna catch me ?. But in all honesty you are there to show People to there seats and if any one has a problem,Try to help. Or even first aid. But to have some bullshit ideas that some of you behave like little Hitlers is gonna keep me safe then sorry that is utter Crap.
You are a Steward and a steward are not there to give a hard time to supporters. You may be a decent steward but the Majority have ideas way above there station sorry.

where did i say i was the united nations
and jumping up and down has its risks
the amount of fans ive seen go from the top of a stand to the bottom in quick succession because theyve lost their footing can happen very easily
if you dont leave the stand altogether (Millwall springs to mind on that one)

well if you think im a decent steward where is the problem
whats the point in having a go at me on most of my posts
people asked about regulations on why persistent standing is not allowed
and you stated that you would rather tear your eye out with a hook than read it
and thats fine, thats your choice
but next time your asked to sit down and you dont understand why there is only one person to blame
