DAVE JONES IN FRAME FOR LEICESTER CITY JOB

Billy Davies, Dave Jones and Ian Dowie are all eager to follow Sven-Goran Eriksson as the next Leicester City boss, BBC Radio Leicester understands.

Former Cardiff City manager Dave Jones and ex-Charlton Athletic and QPR boss Dowie have both applied.

And Davies, who was in charge of Leicester's fierce rivals Derby County and Nottingham Forest, is also keen.

Huddersfield manager Lee Clark, who earlier this week distanced himself from the job, is also in the running.

Foxes legend Martin O'Neill was one of the early favourites for the role following Eriksson's shock exit on Monday.

But the club's Thai owners have said they are no rush to appoint their new man.

Linked! yeah sure he was.

Fans forget easily after a bad run. Davey Jones did a mass of good work for us under lots of restraints and situations. Under his tenure he managed us well many times with his hands tied behind his back.

Not disagreeing with you TA but dont be surprised if it happens. I heard a number of us called Jones a peado when things were not going right last season. I could not quite believe what I was hearing and it took a while to sink in.

It is perhaps one of the reasons I dont want him to get another managers job where he could end up against us.

Why would Leicester even consider Jones or DOWIE
