i believe we beat ipswich in rd 5 and lost in a two leg game to west ham in the semis , whothen went on to win also with a few of the england 1966 worldcup winners playing..

We were knocked out by West Ham Utd in the Semi Final that year losing 10-3 over the 2 leg semi final. West Ham went on to lose 5-3 on aggregate to West Brom in the final. In 1966 the final was also over 2 legs and not the showpiece Wembley final it is today.

The question is anyone know the West Brom player, who scored in the 2nd leg for West Brom, later went on to manage the Bluebirds.
