In the olden days, pre Thatcher

We were lucky if we got mentioned on the radiogram, if we were lucky! Post Thatcher everyone had colour TV's and small radiograms in a little box except us hard working folk from mid wales, well Lydon had a colour telly but he had to hide behind his dad's shed in case the plod came. It was a nice looking telly, weighed more a less half a ton, screen the size of a small cinema but we couldn't watch anything cos couldn't plug it in..

Listening to the game tonight reminded of the old days, I can remember my old grandfather and his mates huddled around an old radio in the parlour, when they eventually came back from hunting poor little foxes, me saying can we switch the telly on?

Nope we're doing our pools coupons

Ah...the old days
