From our POV not having teams come back into the Championship with massive parachute payments might even the playing field a bit and make us better off.

But it's ironic for a very socialist area of the country to have it's largest football team want to do something so right wing.

One of the main objectives when the Premier League was set up was to help assist the England team. So far, they haven't improved, if anything, it's going backwards with the influx of foreign players here to the detriment of home-grown players. OK, so I know that the Bosman ruling was as much to blame for this as anything, but the English tewam hasn't improved. As far as I can see, the rich clubs are getting richer and richer and much more powerful and some players are getting more greedy and arrogant by the day

Greedy bastards.... Whelan makes some good points there about the Spanish League becoming two teams, tbh a couple of years ago the PL was coming like that between ManU and Chelsea, tbh if it wasn't for Spurs and Man City in the past couple of years, it would still be out of four teams now, oh and dont forget how crap the Gooners are doing :lol:
