Brighton and Palace not that far apart by certain standards, i.e. easy links from South London to the Riviera Resort of Brighton

Not sure about 'fans' history though :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

40 Miles apart so you could say a derby. The history comes from when they played in the cup and Palace beat them, Terry Venhables then manager of Brighton threw his toys out and said "thats what Palace are worth" whilst chucking some coins onto the floor. Alan Mullery was manager of Palace at the time so the rivalry started.
