EURO CAR PARKS - PARKING CHARGE NOTICE

Mon Sep 26, 2011 12:17 pm

yesterday when I returned to my car I had a parking ticket for £70 but if paid before the 09/10/2011 then it will be a £50 charge. I was parked in the car park opposite the stadium where all the shops are etc.

I did see a topic on here the other day about parking tickets and about 9 out of 10 people said they ignored the letters and didn't pay the fine!

The time on the ticket is 13:56 and I arrived at about 13:00. I believe you are allowed to park at these car parks for 2 hours.

Anyway im still not sure if I should ignore it or just pay it up now!!

Just wondering if there are any more people who have been in this situation and what your response was.

From now on if you join the Casino (free) they will give you a sticker to go in your car and you will never get that problem. I have been doing it for the last 2 years and no ticket... Simples :ayatollah:

I had a similar Euro Car Parks parking ticket last season. It wasn't because I had parked for too long but because I had parked and "left the car park".

Every time I got a letter from them I replied to them and explained that I had spent some moeny in the shops on that Day and therefore I was a customer and should not have had the ticket. I also stated that my wife was with me but she did not leave the car park and was shopping all the time ;) ;)

It took a bit of time but in the end they just gave up.

So from my experience I would say don't pay it.

EURO Car Parks also facilitate the car parks for the retailer I work for.

They are mickey mouse mate and have no power.

You can get them to make the fine go away, by complaining to any of the retailers on the retail park. If a retailer contacts EURO Car Parks, they can withdraw the charge. Just play the loyal customer card, out for a long days shopping - didn't know any different etc etc.

Worst case scenario is that they will send you a million letters, then sell the debt to the mickey mouse collection agencies who will also send you a million emails - before the problem goes away and you never hear from them again.

More of an inconvienience than anything else.

Yes i knew they are not as 'high up' as a traffic warden or whatever, charging £70 per fine......what a piss take that's probably more than what you would get for parking on double yellow's!!

Just imagine how many people they catch out like this when they go on their big purge!!!
