I'm lucky to have seen some of the beat players of my generation.
Never see messi or the real ronaldo though.
Best for me was Eric Cantona, total quality with the arrogance to back it up.

Miguel Comminges
Failing that ummm Ramsey, Fowler (When he was good), Ginola, Gerrard, they'd all be there or there abouts. Yossi Benayoun tore us apart the night we played Liverpool always thought he was class.

Romario (i think) against wales in the mill stadium, think we lost 4-1, possibly his last game for brazil, just remember the brazil playing us off the park whichwas expected, other than that Torres against Derby in the prem when he scored a hatrick, he was unbelievable that day, crawling on the floor and getting to the ball first, wouldnt think he was like that the way he plays atm

Didier Drogba. The best striker in the world until the last season or two imo. I have never seen a more complete player. Pace, strength, power, ariel ability, great on the deck, can play as the target man or drop deep to link up the play and create, also takes the set pieces, deadly free-kick taker and a great team player who works his nuts off. Not a single weakness in his game.

Maradonna at Hampden was class around 1989. Davie Cooper was fantastic, without doubt one of the most talented Scottish footballers ever and it still turns me on to this day that I got to see him in a Clydebank jersey. Stevie Gerrard is a bit of quality but with cup runs these days we get to see a fair bit of the "top" players. The first two in my book.
are standouts, though there was a few classy Spaniards on show last year at Hampden.
