I would love to see mcphail and whitts complimented by gunnarsson in a 5 man midfield this year for us with cowie and conway supplying the width...and miller up top on his own in certain games. With whitts and mcphail supplying the creativity it would be great to see and gunnarsson the perfect foil to break up the play .... Anyone else agree?

i dont think we can change a winning team but if he did do 4 5 1 then id pick earnie over miller as hes got more goals so far but i think if miller and earnie click we will be fine if we get another couple of players aswell for creativity

With this formation you need wingers who can attack and join the front man. I'm sure Conway could do it but I don't think cowie had the qualities for the wide role in a 5.

We don't have the numbers to do that. If you stick 5 in midfield, then realistically, the only players we have in reserve are Kiss and Blake, and Blake would be out of position really.
