Do you really think someone would try and climb into the Grandstand ( you need a leg up anyway ) making themselves easy meat for a kicking, or do you think it's easier to climb down to the terrace below and get on the pitch ?

I seem to remember our lads invading the North Bank at the Retch back in 1984 by running across the pitch and jumping in. Or aren't you old enough to remember that?

i was on the pitch that night and as we got to near to the grandstand most of us were under the impression the jacks were going to jump down the wall to meet us. but they just all stopped singing and froze the jacks at the front were looking at us with concern on their faces and not once did any make a move down.
when we were herded off the field the jacks started singing again
and in the grandstand next to where the jacks were there were around 15 cardiff fans going toe to toe with them and not once did the jacks try to get over the 2 foot barrier all happy cuddled up nice and safe.

Don't know how old you are Mate but if you were around late 70's through to the 80's you will know Cardiff always come to the Vetch in numbers and took liberties all around your shithole of a City. I personally never looked for trouble but got caught up in it a few times and i have been down Jackland on many a occasion when your lot have been run everywhere and that's a FACT!!!!!!!!!!!

I can only speak of from the mid 80's to early nineties and during that time I would have to say that honours were more or less even with oth sides having results over the other during different small scale skirmishes. The only time I would say there was a resounding result was in 91 in swansea. But I'm sure I missed as many as I took part in.
