" Turner agrees 3 year deal "

BEN TURNER is expected to become a Cardiff City player today after agreeing a three-year deal with the Welsh club.

The Coventry City centre-back will leave the Ricoh Arena having spent the best part of the last year out injured.

Turner, however, passed a medical with the Bluebirds earlier this week and looks set to join the club before the 11pm transfer window this evening.

The Sky Blues will receive £750,000 for Turner along with targetman Jon Parkin, who will move in the opposite direction.


Even if negotiations with Parkin break down the 23-year-old centre-half could still end up at Cardiff in a straight cash deal.

Birmingham City are also believed to be interested in Turner, who supported the Blues as a youngster.

Turner is a good player, who will be a good addittion to your squad, who I wish well. He is big, strong, and a good player. He will make the odd mistake but will score more golas than mistakes he makes wo is good value to the team.

We would love to have held onto him, but have too many centre halfs, probably the only position we still have senior players in.
