If he is being released mutually then Ican understand him going to Liverpool. If he gets a settlement on his salary there's only one place he should be going.

It would seem that THE PAY OFF is the important bit in this saga. If Man City pay him off to the sum of half his salary there is no reason for him NOT to come back to the City. If they get him to leave with only, say, a 20% pay off, he will be looking for more than the £30k we may be willing to pay him.

Craig is still in the driving seat, he still has the ability to sit tight and earn £90k a week for not playing and this can force Man City's hand.
