We really do need to play a few friendlies against the likes of Mali, Benin Botswana etc, that are 30 odd places above us. Wins against them would see us climb up to a slightly more respectable position. Who knows we might even be on a par with the Cape Verde Islands

These rankings are a complete joke but they are something FIFA stands by when they're seeding teams for tournaments, which is bad news for us

i dont kknow why we are all moaning, i know exactly how the rankings are worked out, its purely results not the players(which it should be) and we have only won one or two in the last 20.

no matter how good we think we are we havent got the results to shoot us up. one win, even in a friendly will put us up 10-20 places

This is the exact reason we should play shitty teams in friendlies! Get the points on the board and that will help our ranking that will help our seeding for qualifiers.

The rankings need to regionalised with say a top 10 for World rankings only
