I knew a Simon Bates in primary school, was in secondary school with strangely enough a Simon Head who had an elder brother called Richard.

Worked with a Philip McCafferty which is close but no cigar but the strangest of all was a Brian Drain who worked for a Sewer Cleaning company called DrainBrain.
