Could this article be more evidence to show Bellamy not cooming to City??

Or another Smoke Screen?

Just says he wants another striker but not a bigger target man so IMO Bellamy could be that type of player ?

This is just Tucker trying to big up his view that Cardiff need a big target man to play with either Miller or Earnie. Malky just shot him down in flames by saying Watford had to top scorer in the division and they played without a target man.

Malky also said he was still working on getting players in all areas but didn't make any reference to any player although I have no doubt he would take CB in a heartbeat. If anything I am getting a little concerned about him saying that the players must be within the finances of the club, does this mean that the money spent on Miller is all that he has been given? I hope not because we do still need players to fill the squad.

This article is all about Tucker having a bee in his bonnet about us not having a target man or playing without a target man. He spent 6 minutes pushing this point with Malky who by the end was clearly bored with his line of questioning. Having mediawales back into these pre match interviews has done nothing to improve their quality.

I dont know what he's getting at though, we have 2 target men, Rudy and Parkin!

Yes Rudy is young, but he seems decent enough,

i've seen Miller play as a target man for rangers, Scotland and Derby too, obviously he hasnt really got the physique for it but if they balls are played up to his feet or down the channels then he's perfectly capable of holding the ball up

We dont really need a tall, big targetman. We already have Parkin and Gestede. People who say Kenny and Earny dont play together its not the case of not scoring goals. It all depends on the service the strikers get from the midfield. Bellamy would deffo be the man who can create goals for our stikers. He scores goals himself he will bring confidence to the team he's a leader! :ayatollah:

This 'big tall targetman' IS an outdated idea

Andy cole and Dwight Yorke were both 5ft 9"

Before anyone says how much more class they had than we got, remember the
central defenders they were playing against.

All it needs is for a lad up there to be strong enough to hold the ball up, and protect
it. Its not THAT difficult, Centre Halfs cannot go right through you like they used
to. Its more about educating the rest of the team to playe the right balls in to them
chip it over the midfield sooner than hoof the fucker hight up in the air.

Romario and Bebeto? World Cup winners!!!!!

Malky is right

Yes but Parkin is just not good enough.

We don't need a targetman as Taffyapple has pointed out, but what we do need is better delivery to the front 2.

Let's be honest every team plays the the long ball at some point and we are no different.

However, when your strikers are as small as Earnshaw and Miller the delivery has to be down the channels for them to chase and out pace the defenders rather than down the throat of the 2 centre-backs.

Up to now the delivery has been pretty poor from Hudson and Gerrard (when bring the ball out of defence) and that's something which needs to be worked on.

Remember how over reliant we were on Jay Bothroyd, on how if he was injured or out we were a League One side because our players didn't know how to play effectively without him. How refreshing it is that Malky is trying to create a team and a team that plays together, so that losing, Miller or Whitts or Earnie or Gestede isn't the end of the world. I know which i'd rather :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
