Anyone know what the selection process is for joining the TA?

How do you join? is it a trip to the local army careers office or is it a case of ringing the nearest unit etc

cheers mate, ive been talking about joining for years, something id love to do but with a wife and kids full time is out of the question, time to stop talking and actually doing it,

hopefully the situation with cut backs etc wont affect any new recruits for the ta but ill pop in monday to find out

go to your local unit, they will talk you through it, paper work etc, i was in the TA's for 2years. good experience but it was just a taster for me if i wanted a carrear in the full army. which sadly as much as i loved my time in the TA's it was not for me, best of luck to you though.
