Where does Bellamy fit...

Sun Aug 07, 2011 9:42 pm

Just trying to think about where he fits in this team...

Up front, I can't see him and Miller working?

Wide on the left to replace Conway?

On the right to replace Cowie...

Just can't see it at the moment.

By the way I'm not saying I don't want him, he'd be pretty good off the bench :D

He could play between the sticks and still give 110% and probably score a few :ayatollah:

We need more strength and depth to our squad, although if Craig does come back he will surely start most games when fully fit.

Gunnarsson or Kiss if he's as good as some people are making out

the best XI isnt set in stone anyway, people lose form and get injuries, we need strength in depth, competition and options of players arent playing well

Miller and Bellamy coud work, not sure if Miller and Earnie will ever work. Niced problem to have - where to put one of the best players in the league into your side.....

Ive asked this question a few times and come to the conclusion that do we really need to be spending £35,000 a week for a bit player.

Bellamy and Conway out wide with Whittingham and Cowie in the middle. Gunnarsson and Kiss as backups. Put Mason as back up for the forwards alongside Earnshaw and Parkin. Gestede and Miller as our main forwards. Taylor and Kev McNaughton full backs with Hudson and Gerrard as centre backs with Marshall between the sticks. :ayatollah:

Are you taking the mick  Parkin....? He'll never play for us again, this level has proven too much for him.

wish people would calm down a little about gestede, yeah he looked good when he came on yesterday. but thats a long way away from being a 1st team regular.

Gunarsson should be one of the first names on the team sheet. We've been lacking a defensive midfield player for years and he is just that. It's no coincidence that Nolan and Parker (arguably the two best players in the Championship) were kept quiet and we kept a clean sheet.

I though the pairing of him and Whitts was excellent.

As for Bellamy, him and Miller are ready made for each other :ayatollah:

got to agree about gunnarson ,he allowed whits conway and cowie to roam and inter change all through the game ,his role was vital ,for me he ran marshall very close for man of match . :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
