Great if true but he was QPRs main striker last season so cannot see it personally.

Would be a decent addition! Would have thought Bothroyd would keep him out so maybe surplus to requirements!

He's not even 6ft, I think.

I stand corrected, he is 5ft 10 but he is built like a barrel and great in the air, hence why he's usually played as a target man or lone front man! Would definitely be keen if we could get him!

I don't want anymore old fucks at Cardiff, he's turning 34 this month. Did pretty well last season at Watford, but that's a no from me.

Helguson told Gunnarsson to join us, so could happen

Gunnarsson admits it was an intervention by fellow Icelandic international, Heidar Helguson, which finally convinced him the move to Cardiff was the right one.

The QPR striker, who was on loan at Watford under Mackay last season, told Gunnarsson to seize the chance to work with the 39-year-old manager.

Gunnarsson added: “Heidar worked with Malky and when he heard I had the chance to come to Cardiff he just told me that this was a man I needed to work with.”
