I know Craig has stated he only wants a permanent move, but surely it wouldn't be that bad if he came back on loan with City? After all, it would mean he's away from Mancini and co. for the whole season and can then return home permanently next season.
If Celtic were the only loan option, I'd understand, but should he just come to terms with the chance he may not get his way just this one time? Better than playing with the 'Elite Development Squad' for the season, surely?
Oh, and here's what Mancini said on the matter: "I met Craig two days ago at Carrington. He told me something I want to keep to myself."
