WOULD YOU WELCOME JIMMY BULLARD?

Thu Jul 21, 2011 4:24 pm

Hull City midfielder Jimmy Bullard has been ordered to stay away from the club for the next fortnight after a breach of club discipline, ESPNsoccernet understands.

Bullard, 32, has never lived up to the hype of his £5 million move to Hull during their first season in the Premier League and this latest incident is likely to hasten his departure from the KC Stadium.

ESPNsoccernet has been told that Bullard arrived at the training ground on Tuesday morning in a taxi after a night out in London and manager Nigel Pearson made it clear he was in no state to join the rest of the squad. He was told to leave immediately and suspended for two weeks.

The club are expected to make an official statement on Thursday morning.

Bullard, who is on a £45,000-a-week contract which still has another two seasons to run, has made just 23 league appearances for the Tigers since joining the club from Fulham in January 2009.

A move to Celtic following the club's relegation to the Championship last year collapsed, reportedly over the player's financial demands, and he was loaned to Ipswich Town in January.

Pearson opted to give Bullard a second chance when the players met up for pre-season this summer, taking him on a six-day training camp in Slovenia, but this latest indiscretion may prove too much for the East Yorkshire club.

He has been linked with a return to the Premier League and to London with Queens Park Rangers as Neil Warnock looks for added creativity with the impending sale of Adel Taarabt to Paris St Germain.

He was left out of the squad for Wednesday evening's friendly against Winterton Rangers, before whch Pearson told reporters: "There's nothing to add at this point. This conversation is going nowhere so we'll leave it at that."

Definitely. He looked quality last season for Ipswich against us at CCS and scored a good goal. Would add a goalscoring threat from centre midfield that we aint really had since Kav left. Before anyone mentions Whitts, I see him as a winger and think he's not as effective when played through the middle of the park.

He won't take less it's why he is stuck at Hull. He could be a prem player but chooses money over football.

Some people have got double standards on here. One minute people are saying "dave jones signs people on high wages and injury prone" or "we dont want people going out before game or training like chopra,JLS,and bothroyd". Then in the next breath youre saying you want jimmy bullard whi is 1)injury prone. 2) on high wages and 3) went out on the piss before pre season training where any professional would be getting stuck in after the years hes had. But malky should sign him up because hes got good banter! Comen on now people.

^^^ THIS
Unbelievable the nonsense some come up with. We quite rightly want JLS hung drawn and quartered and fed to the sharks for his antics. But lets sign up a player who is turning up to training in a taxi, straight from a night on the lash. Beggars belief.

Yeah, I agree with this. Another player, like Trundle, who was more concerned with getting on Soccer AM and flirting with Helen "The Lesbian" Chamberlain than actually taking the game seriously. If he took it seriously, he wouldn't behave like such a knob. But then, they do love him on Soccer AM, don't they? As they keep pointing out
