Parts of Sky Sports News' reporting is shocking

Sat Jul 16, 2011 9:56 pm

Have you seen the report on Bellamy today playing for Man Citys reserves?

They attended the game which was played away at Altrincham, and understandably focused the report on Bellamy's performance as hes a high profile player left behind the first teams trip to America.

However the body of Sky's input into the report centred their claim that Bellers is using these fixtures as a shop window for himself. If Sky conducted any degree of investigative journalism in this respect then they would be able to conclude that Bellamy did not intend to use the game as a shop window - as hes made himself quite clear that he only wants to play for us.

Why arent Sky able to grasp this? Bellamy doesnt need a shop window - every EPL club are quite aware of what Craig can bring to a game and offer a club...if Sky werent so ignorant to recognise this then maybe their shite approach to journalism (at times) wouldnt raise its ugly head. Disrespectful

True in some sort of a way, him coming to us is far from 100% so he has to keep his options open and show to any potential club that he is fit & still has the hunger so in a sense he is putting himself in the shop window.
