NOT GETTING A SEASON TICKET

Wed Jul 13, 2011 12:24 pm

Going back to who are "proper" supporters.

I won't be getting a seaon ticket this season, and here's why. I live in Worcestershire, a good distance away from Cardiff. I don't have a job, and I can't drive. I can't make evening matches, as I am likely to have education commitments next season. I went to the vast majority of home weekend matches last season. I made several away games. I also go and watch Shrewsbury Town, which is the only chance I get to see my Dad.

THE QUESTION.

Does this make me a less of a supporter than those who go to every single City match? I don't think so. A lot of people criticise us who don't go to every game, but money and family comes into it. I don't feel enough people realise that.

To those of you who go to every match though, hats off to you, and those who travel from really long distances to get to City matches. After all, we all love City, let's stop the petty arguing we sometimes see. I don't mean just about this topic, but everything else like what we've seen on here over the last couple of days.

I dont think your less of a supporter as you said due to your circumstances you cant make the games. I just feel lucky im able to and hope this doesent change. Ive often wondered how families i see home and away can afford to go to all to all the games fair play to them.

Im lucky enough to be able to afford a Season Ticket every season mate at this moment in time, but should that ever happen to change it wont make me any less of a fan.

A Bluebird is a Bluebird.

Its just some peoples circumstances dictate that they cant attend every week such as, work, family, or even some lads still playing the game themselves.

I would never class myself as a better fan than someone like yourself, anyone who does is being a bit silly IMO.

No it doesnt. Theres plenty of so-called "supporters" who have season tickets, and go away most games, yet they dont "Support" the team. All they want to do is moan at the board, manager and players, bringing the club down in the process.
