MacBook Pro's are mega bucks pal but are good machines.

I was looking to buy one before I bought my Vaio but I couldnt justify spending that much. You will be paying a large chunk on for the Apple brand.

I would stick with a Windows laptop as you can get much better value for your money.

What is your budget?

depends what you want to use your laptop for to be honest.

i dont like macs, they basically are a giant iphone, all run on apps.

just look for a laptop with a good amount of hard drive and ram.

and avoid crap makes. acer sony HP are good ones

MacBook Pro's are obviously the best in the business - but you will find compatibility issues with some programs yyou may like to use. In addition, if your into gaming Macbook Pro's probably aren't the best choice.

I do alot of graphic design work and regularly push my PC's to their limits regularly having Outlook Express, Google Chrome, Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver open at the same time with thousands of fonts and brushes installed in Photoshop.

The only PC I've ever owned which has been flawless at handling my needs is my Sony Vaio laptop, paid 600 quid for it 3 months ago and its the best PC I've ever owned, now if only they done desktops!

Think dell do a pretty good spec amd have an offer on at the moment. Go to dell uk site, select 'performance deals' tab and there should be a code for additional 15% discount. High end 2nd generation i5 intel cpu, 6gb ram,640 hard drive, and 1gb graphics card (though you can customise any of the above to suit your preferences). With the discount comes to just under £600.

Do you Need a large display for entertainment and multitasking or a smaller one for traveling and working in tight quarters than you should go for Toshiba Laptops. They are very good in laptop manufacturing.
