Due to police costing after a certain time on a bank holiday?

That was what I was told by a few fans couple of seasons ago when the KO was the same as this year

i find it a strange decision never has been any trouble there.

That was what I was told by a few fans couple of seasons ago when the KO was the same as this year

They all get double time on a Bank Holiday, which starts at 6am or 7am and lasts for 24 hours!

Therefore it's nothing to do with pay!

The best thing for the Police to do financially, would be to try and change the game to a non Bank Holiday, as they have to roster sufficient officers to work on the Bank Holiday, which would be to cover routine Policing, along with extra duties like football matches!

If the match fell on an ordinary day, they'd already have a quota of officers scheduled to work, so they wouldn't have to pay them all double time!

It's all to do with the Police over here. Almost all of our bank holiday games (in particular Boxing Day & New Year's Day) are 12pm kick offs. We hate it, but not much the club can do about it. We always hope to get a tv game so we get a later kick off time.

Plays havoc with the hangover.....
