According to Dexter Blackstock Earshaw has signed a new deal

Doesn't exactly confirm it for sure but what else could he possibly mean by 'Come on @RobertEarnshaw let's do this next season!!#promotion'.

Perhaps he's signing because City havn't followed up on his approach. Shame if it's true, would have been a quality signing.

Never thought of it that way. Blackstock would be a great replacement for Bothroyd :ayatollah: :ayatollah: Shame he's still injured from when he played against us last season.

Or the more likely explanation, given Earnie has said zero, is the Blackstock is saying that to try to get Earnie to stay at Forest, ie Earnie hasn't decided or signed anything...

That's what i thought when i read it ... He knows he uncertain so he's trying to persuade him to stay ... But Earnie want's back home, it's obvious :D

I'm starting to feel less and less comfortable about Earnie coming back.

Perhaps its time to look beyond our old favourites, stop thinking about
the good old days when Earnie was scoring for fun.

His goals per game ratio is still great. But there has to be a reason why
even Billy Davies (who has bought him twice) prefers to bring him on
off the bench

No striker would sign for a Club expecting to be an impact player coming
on for the last 15 minutes surely? But thats as good as it gets for Earnie
now i'm afraid

Reads more like a plea to Earnie to make him sign.

last ditch effort to be quite honest, Earnie want's to come home! :ayatollah:

Nothing in that to say that he has signed a new contract.

By all account's Blackstock and Earnie are quite close, it's just an attempt to get him to stay up there.

If we offer Rob a contract then in my opinion there will be no doubt that he will sign it.

The same Billy Davies who just got sacked for failing to get Nottingham Forest promoted again with a decent squad? You state the exact reason we need him. His goals per game ratio is still incredible and the only reason Davies doesn't start him every game is because he has other favoured player such as Tudgay, Blackstock, Boyd and McGoldrick. I'd welcome Earnie back and the phrase 'never go back' isn't always relevant.

I really hope not.

Earnie, Bellamy and Le Fondre would be brilliant :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

 Le Fondre

Really? A guy who has scored many in a very poor league. Take a look at his goal record since the turn of the year. Perhaps he's not even that good in league 2.

I would be uncomfortable at the thought of us having to rely on a League 2 striker to try and get us promoted.

Billy Sharp, Mackail - Smith, Marvin Sordell should be the type of players to target if we are to reach our aim.

Le Fondre will be lucky if he ends up at a low Championship club.

Jermaine Beckford.

Billy Davies bought him only once, paid a club record 3.5 mill for Derby and then did not play him because of his selfish play and lack of ball control. It was Earnie's worse nightmare when Davies went to Forest
