Bellamy pleading for free transfer

Sun Jun 19, 2011 3:03 pm

Couldn't see this story from Wales online already linked :

Craig Bellamy is pleading with Manchester City to let him go on a free transfer, reports indicate.

The Welsh striker, who spent much of last season attempting to guide the Bluebirds to Premier League promotion, currently has a £4m price-tag slapped on his head.

Daily Mirror reports say the disillusioned Wales international is in the final year of his contract with Manchester City.

A number of Premier League clubs have reportedly made enquiries, including Tottenham and one of Bellamy's former clubs, Liverpool.

Bellamy has made his intention to move to Cardiff City clear, and last month hinted he could be willing to play for free to help the Bluebirds reach the Premier League.

Surely he won't want a free transfer, he will want his contract paid up so he can walk with cash.
