ASSISTANT MANAGER WATFORD : SEAN DYCHE
Posted on: Fri 17 Jul 2009

SEAN Dyche has had his fair share of promotions during his vast footballing career.

He started his career at Nottingham Forest while Brian Clough was at the helm.

Dyche moved onto Chesterfield when he turned professional and stayed with the Spireites for seven very successful years, becoming captain and helping them reach the Division Three play-offs in 1995 and the FA Cup semi final in 1997.

He left on a high for Bristol City, helping the team win promotion to Division One. Dyche moved to London club Millwall in 1999 and again was involved in a successful season; winning promotion to Division One in 2001.

The hard-nosed defender then signed for Watford in 2002 and stayed a player with the 'Orns until 2005 when he swapped Hertfordshire for Northamptonshire.

Dyche was involved in The Cobblers' 2005-06 promotion from League Two. Following this, the defender retired and moved his career back to WD18 in 2007 when he became involved in the youth team and headed up U18 side.

During Malky Mackay's caretaker stint as manager of the Hornets in November 2008, Dyche became Mackay's number two.

When Mackay was handed the reigns once more after Brendan Rodgers moved to Reading in June 2009, the Scotsman again appointed Dyche as his Assistant Manager.

Just showed his picture to the Mrs. All of a sudden she fancies coming to a few games if we appoint him. She obviously likes the hard looking.

I would welcome dyche to the club, he seems to be the strict person we need in the changing room and it seems that he got good experience in getting promotions,

Dyche is indeed a leader and takes no nonsense off anyone. Lucky for Jay and Chops that they have now left

We should remember that Jones inherited Burton, he did not bring him in.
I actually thought both Jones AND Burton were just too laid back. Malky
wants HIS man at his side, a formidable pairing.

Be prepared for very fit, very mobile, very skilful players who will bust a
gut for each other on the pitch.

good friend of mine was 4th official when we beat them 4-2 last season told me after Dyche was in his face for 90 mins. Ideal in my mind.
