WHAT WAS THE THINKING BEHIND SPONSOR?

Any one have any ideas on y we have malaysia as the shirt sponsor?

did we turn down any big sponsors from uk etc ? Can we afford to turn down revenue?

what will be the big / longterm benefit?

or is it just a show of support?

any ideas?

ps think the new kit looks ok...

believe me VT is a very shrewd man with fingers in lots of pies and contacts in some very senior places in Malaysia

They are trying very hard to promote there brands in europe and the uk,and in malaysia where football is on the up and up/
Expect to see a few players from there as well.

must be pretty thick regards finance/marketing etc

I think its a very clever move to market Cardiff city in Malaysia. What better way is there than advertising the programme designed by the Malaysian Prime Minister.With Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool all going to Malaysia on a pre season tours, it just shows how big the market is. Wouldn't it be great if those teams go to Malaysia and see billboards with a Cardiff City player on it and adverts on the tv showing our side

I dont mean any disrespect to Malta, or its people, but they recently sponsored Sheffield United.

Malaysia. Much bigger country. Bigger economic status. Total opposite to Malta.

..... and being totally opposite I think we will find ourselves being promoted next summer rather than being relegated!
