Why are people from Glasgow make such good Managers?

Any ideas, they can't breed Goalies but the Managers are amazing for such a small population.

And why do Wales breed such good left wingers, Giggs, Bale ????

But there seems to be something in the Scottish attitude, never say die. Isn't it Wales and Scotland are arguably the only nations on Earth never to be "conquered"? Not sure if thats true.
