Arsenal player today quoted saying Cardiff want to sign him

Arsenal youngster Emmanuel Frimpong:
Emmanuel Yaw Frimpong (born 10 January 1992) is a Ghanaian-born footballer who plays as a midfielder for Arsenal. Frimpong has represented England at youth level.

Frimpong is known for his toughness, tackling and energy in the midfield and has been compared to current Arsenal player Alex Song. He has also been compared to Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien. But since he hasn't played any league games for Arsenal, we are yet to know.



Story in today's newspaper with quotes from the Arsenal youngster:

The 19-year-old midfielder has grown increasingly frustrated with his lack of first team opportunities with the Gunners, after damaging knee ligaments at the beginning of last season.

Frimpong joined Arsenal in July 2008, but is yet to make his first team debut and revealed he is currently pondering offers from the Addicks and Championship side Cardiff City.

“It was a difficult season for me with the injury and the comeback, but I think I will need to look elsewhere if the current situation continues,” he said.

“Cardiff and Charlton have made enquiries and my understanding is that they’re very serious about me. If I’m not going to get regular play at Arsenal, then what is the point in staying there?”

How the hell Arsenal scouted him I will never know. Awful player.

If we sign this Arsenal youngster, hopefully he turns out to be more of a success than JET!

The player himself says we are very interested and serious about signing him yet we have no manager! I wonder who in our club tried to get Frimpong then?

difference with him and JET are.....that he will be hungry to play unlike JET, will try to impress more than JET and he will be essential because he will be in the middle of the park, JET did have a hard job and did impress at times but he didn't really care.
