About as serious a breach of regulations as you can get really, isnt it??

agree there taffy

we've either broken the rules or mm hasnt even had an interview yet
taking into account that watford were correct in saying we havnt had permission

My mate is a watford supporter and he was telling me that Mackays contract was he had a say in player sales and Watford sold 2 players without Mackays permission therefore may put the contract in doubt.

Confused I am , I really can not believe that Cardiff would be daft enough to talk to a manager without permission if they have then Jenkings is in the wrong job as we could be in a lot of trouble with the FA.

It seems unprofessional to me I hope Gethin knows what he's doing is this inexperience on GJ and Aw's part. I really hope it goes well tomorrow and Malky is announced as our new manager otherwise it could turn into a circus if the tabloids find out and get involved and could well bite GJ and AW on the arse we don't need any more negativity at our club so lets hope all goes to plan and our new manager is in place onwards and upwards :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Re: " CITY OFFICIALS MEETING PROSPECTIVE MANAGER "

Why cant we have people in charge that know what they are doing.

If the FA find out about this we could start next season with a points deduction.

Re: " CITY OFFICIALS MEETING PROSPECTIVE MANAGER "

Nobody does anything correctly in football these days so I wouldn't be overly worried about it.

I don't care what they do behind the scenes as long as they get the right man in the managers job, and if Watford don't like that then tough titty!

We slated QPR forhavibg an illegal player and we've made an illegal approach for a manager? Pots and kettles I'm afraid.

Or prehaps we haven't even met with Mackay yet and therefore there's been no reason to speak to Watford.

There's no smoke without fire and I've no doubt we've spoken to Mackay's agent/Representative, but i'd imagine that's where this story starts and ends at the moment.

There are more interviews planned for Tomorrow and the beginning of the week according to Barrie M who works down the club...no mention of any names though

Re: " CITY OFFICIALS MEETING PROSPECTIVE MANAGER "

so, if the stories are correct why doesnt mackay resign as watford manager like mcleish did today.? would make things alot simpler.............unless there is someone lined up who will come as a surprise to us all. ? 8-)

IF its true, im sorry but why post it on a public forum????? I've always defended this forum regards CCMB's claims it damages the club, but sorry this does!! Why tell the world we are tapping people up??? IF its true im very disappointed its been made public. We know tapping up is rife, but still

Especially when no-one knows that it's 100% true. Face it, Carl's/Annis' sources have been wrong in the past. That's not a dig or a snipe. For this to put on a forum, as FACT, knowing full well people will believe it, is not far short of a disgrace.

Or why haven't Watford made a statement saying how terrible we've acted?

Re: " CITY OFFICIALS MEETING PROSPECTIVE MANAGER "

Thanks for the post Carl. Personally I'm not worried about breaching any FA rules or guidelines as qpr got away with football murder as so to speak, so if there is a whiff of any FA threat of points deductions or fines or whatever we may breach. Cardiff City as a club should simply say to the FA "deal with us as you dealt qpr".

Re: " CITY OFFICIALS MEETING PROSPECTIVE MANAGER "

Sun Jun 12, 2011 9:20 pm

According to Steve Davies (Borley's mate) it was McInnes who flew back for an interview not Mackay.

Its dragging on now in it .I just hope the appointment of the new manager is carried out in the right way but this is city and nothing is done easy is it.

If it is MM then I think he will do fine hope we no by tomorrow. :ayatollah:

I would be surprised at that.

The club wouldn't be as stupid to act in a way that could be extremely damaging as a result.

There has to be something that we aren't aware of.

Exactly right. Don't be naive people, this goes on all the time, whether it be players or managers.

It just suits peoples agendas to bash the management over the head with. If they went through the right channels and got rebuffed, then people would slag them off for not checking beforehand.

Its so transparent, its funny.

Re: " CITY OFFICIALS MEETING PROSPECTIVE MANAGER "

I do have a suspicion now that the Club may well be playing games. That
Mackay is not the target but they are happy to let people think he is while
the real target is already being primed for an announcement... and they
dont want him to slip through our fingers

my head is cabaged with all this haha

So now we know tomorrow's headlines (Echo and Watford Observer for starters, and also coverage in the nationals) whether the 'tapping up' claim is true or a load of tripe. Result = Cardiff City dragged through the mud again. This is a very sad way to behave.
